Clarence Roberson Jr.

Clarence Roberson, Jr., age 66, of 127 W Bluford Street, Clinton, South Carolina was born May 6, 1958 to the late Clarence Roberson, Sr. and Alice Young Roberson. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at his home.
Clarence attended schools in Laurens County School District 56. He was a graduated of Clinton High School, class of 1979. He worked various jobs throughout his life. A few included Presbyterian College maintenance department, Presbyterian College dining hall, Anderson Flooring, Renfo, Whiteford’s Drive In, and Rich Loom where he met his wife, Marlene Roberson.
He was predeceased by his ex-wife, Reverend Claudia Shelton Roberson and his wife Marlene Roberson, his parents Clarence Roberson, Sr., and Alice Young Roberson, one brother Calvin Simpson, and a special friend Christine Johnson.
He leaves cherished loving memories with his only son, Clarence Lanier Johnson of Laurens, SC and his only daughter, Gwen Roberson Chertien of Tampa, FL, one son-in-law, Jonathan Chretien, one uncle, Retired Master Sgt. Willie James Young of Columbus, GA, two aunts, Delores Young of Peterburg, VA and Clara Young of Clinton, SC, his one and only sister Clara Roberson Sanders of the home, 2 brothers Olin Roberson and Kenyon Roberson both of Clinton, SC, one God brother Michael Miller of Clinton, SC, one ex-sister-in-law Cecia White of Clinton, SC, one brother-in-law John Henry Sanders of the home, 2 granddaughters Jalieha Moses and Jakhila Moses of Clinton, SC, one grandson Kai Chretien of Tampa, FL, 3 nieces Katonya Kingsborough of Laurens, SC, Kayla Roberson of Clinton, SC, and Princess Goggans of the home, and 1 nephew Kenyon “Co Co” Roberson of Spartanburg, SC, 3 great nieces A’Shyia Bluford of Clinton, SC, Jazzlynn Kingsborough of Laurens, SC, and Ava Lemons of Charleston, SC and 1 great nephew Elikai Roberson of Spartanburg, SC, one cousin reared in the home, Jennifer Wilson of Greenville, SC.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with Reverend JoAnna McIntosh officiating.

Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is assisting the Roberson family with services.
