Dateline-Clinton, SC
Claude Edward Birchmore, age 66 of 100 Glendale Manor Dr., Apt. 4, and husband of 40 years to Carol Ivey Birchmore, went peacefully to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 3, 2007.
He was born on Sept. 29th, 1940 in Richland County to the late Charlie and Clara Mae Miller Birchmore and was retired from Greenwood Mills; member of the National Guard, Calvary Baptist Church and the Agape Sunday School Class.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Ivey Birchmore of the home, sons and their wives, Duane and Melanie Birchmore, Craig and Sarah Birchmore and five grandchildren, Thad and Caroline Birchmore, Lily Birchmore and Zachery and Samantha Koon; sisters, Edna Barker, Pearl Fallow and Ruby Bond all of Clinton, Beth Gantt of Aiken; brothers, James “Lightening” Birchmore of Clinton, Carl Birchmore of Columbia and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Louise Romines and a brother, Frank Birchmore.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 6th at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Russell Addis, Rev. Edward Hardee and Rev. Don Peake with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, Jan. 5th from 6 to 9 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home.
