Claudia Kinard Norton

Claudia Kinard Norton, age102, beloved wife of the late Edgar B. Norton died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the National HealthCare of Clinton.
She was born in Lexington County, SC and was a daughter of the late Samuel William and Alice Summers Kinard.
Mrs. Norton retired from Clinton Mills with over 30 years of service and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are her one son, Charles W. Kinard of Clinton; one grandson, Chuck Kinard and wife Julia of West Columbia and one great granddaughter, Melissa Kinard.
In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by four sisters, Mrs. Lillie Roddsperger, Annie Mae Caughman, Virginia Holtzclaw and Beulah Smith; four brothers, Willie R. Kinard, Oscar B. Kinard, Henry P. Kinard and Clarence E. Kinard.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, Aug. 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the West End Cemetery in Newberry.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
