Cleo Bowers Hartman

October 9, 1915 — February 15, 2011

Cleo Bowers Hartman age 95, formerly of 1403 Coleman Avenue and widow of James “Les” Hartman, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in the J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
She was born in Prosperity, S.C. and was a daughter of the late Clarence and Minnie Mills Bowers.
Mrs. Hartman was a member of the St. Timothy Lutheran Church and a member of the Women of the Church. She was retired from Simpsons.
Surviving are a sister, Esther Mae Thomas of Ninety Six; a daughter, Betty Jean Jernigan of Prosperity; three grandchildren, William Earl Jernigan, Jr. (Lynn Rimes) of Prosperity, Sharon (Robert David) McClanahan of Whitmire, and Teia Moody of Conn.; five great grandchildren, William Christopher Jernigan, Patrick Ryan Jernigan, Michael Craig Montjoy and wife Brittany H., Joseph Austin McClanahan, and Daniel Aaron McClanahan; and a great-great grandchild, William Andrew Montjoy.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 19th at 3:00 p.m. in the St. Timothy Lutheran Church with burial in the Newberry Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends before the service on Saturday from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at the church.
