Clifton Melvin Heaton, Sr.

Clifton Melvin Heaton, Sr. age 73 of 400 N. Marion Street, died Monday, March 30, 2009 at his home.
He was born in Anderson, SC and was the son of the late Landy and Mattie Vee Floyd Heaton.
Mr. Heaton was retired from Whitten Center and was a member of the Open Arms Ministry.
He is survived by his wife, Magdalene Leopard Heaton of the home; two daughters, Dena Vaughn and Rudell Dunaway; four sons, Clifton Heaton, Jr., Eugene Heaton, Ruben Heaton, and Deon Heaton; a brother, Freddie Heaton; fourteen grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, five sisters, and a brother.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
