Clyde James Padgett, age 99, widower of Dorothy Louise Walker Padgett passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Hospice of Laurens County.
He was born in Liberty, SC and was a son of the late Clarence James and Emma William Padgett.
Mr. Padgett retired from Laurens Glass Plant and was a member of Bellview Baptist Church. He enjoyed growing flowers, working in his garden and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Surviving are two sons, Bobby James Padgett and Jerry Lee Padgett both of Clinton; two daughters, Jo Anne Bagwell of Laurens and Evelyn Cox of Mountville; and eighteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, sixteen great-great grandchildren and six great-great-great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sons, Billy Ray Padgett and Norman Wilbur Padgett and a sister Louise Howard.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Mar. 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Bellview Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home of Laurens

The family will be at the home of his grandson, Gary Bagwell, 1037 South Harper St., Laurens, SC 29360.
