Connie B. Davis, who celebrated her 100th birthday on Aug. 27th, 2013 passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
She was born in Lake City, SC a daughter of the late Charlie and Lula Haigler Birchmore. She had five brothers and four sisters and was the last living sibling.
They moved to Clinton when she was 13 years old. She started working at Lydia Mill when she was 14 and worked there for more than 50 years. She adopted a child, J.W. Davis, when he was three weeks old and reared her niece, Mozelle Nelson, when she was four years old. She was a member of Lydia Baptist Church (for 25 years) and then New Hope Baptist Church (for 35 years).
A private family service will be conducted.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Laurens County, P.O. Box 178, Clinton, SC 29325.
