Corra Lucretia Reynolds Smith, age 92, and widow of James A. Smith died August 18, 2009, in the Hospice House of Laurens County.
She was born in Edgefield County and was the daughter of the late James Edgar and Julia D. Culbreath Reynolds.
Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Anderson Junior College, worked for Belk’s in Clinton for 40 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Kathryn Lucinda Reynolds Quarles; nieces and nephews, Carolyn Q. Beasley, Lucinda Q. Chambers and Robert H. Quarles, III; great nieces and nephews, Mary Grace B. Alexander, Elizabeth B. Weber, William Reynolds, Von Reynolds, Todd Reynolds, Judy R. Quick, Ginny R. Barnes, Robert H. Quarles, IV, Kay Quarles, Catherine Chambers Halsema and Patti Chambers Lhommeau.
She was predeceased by a brother, Henry Mitchell Reynolds, II and nephews, James Robert Reynolds and William Arthur Reynolds.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 20th at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m on Thursday at the funeral home.
