Corrie Lee Davenport Satterwhite

Corrie Davenport Satterwhite, age 87, widow of J. W. Satterwhite died Monday, May 15, 2007 in the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Newberry County and was the daughter of the late James William and Lucy Floyd Davenport.
Mrs. Satterwhite worked 31 years at Clinton Mills; followed by several years at Presbyterian Home and finally as a Foster Grandparent at Joanna Woodson Elementary School. She was a member of the Little River Dominick Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are one son and his wife, James Satterwhite and Peggy of Hickory Tavern; two daughters and son-in-law, Jean Carroll and Raymond of Germantown, TN and Betty Casey of Clinton; one brother, Jeff Davenport of New Jersey; two sisters, Sarah Graham of Newberry and Frances Cole of NC; seven grandchildren, Ray Carroll, Tim Carroll, Phil Carroll, Jamie Satterwhite, Angie Powell, Cheryl Tucker and Darby Casey and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m. in Little River Dominick Presbyterian Church , Hwy. 56, Kinards, with burial in Little River Dominick Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 at Gray Funeral Home in Clinton.
The family will be at the home of her son, James Satterwhite, 582 Crawford Rd., Hickory Tavern.
