Courtney Thomas Johnson, 75, of Kinards went to be with the Lord, November 20, 2006 at the NHC of Clinton.
He was the son of the late Clifford and Gladys Johnson and was born in Chicago, IL on September 6, 1931. Mr. Johnson was survived by his wife of 51 years, Valerie Johannes Johnson of the home; a son, Thomas Courtney Johnson and his wife, Pamela of Kinards; a daughter, Cynthia Shafer-Garth and her husband, Richard of Cincinnati, OH; a sister, Sibyl Dublinski of Chicago, IL; one step grandson, Rich and his wife, Amy and their children, Allyson and Liam; and a grand-dog, Abby whom he loved very much.
He was predeceased by a step-dad, Clarence Johnstin and a brother-in-law Edwin Dublinski
Mr. Johnson served in the Korean War with the rank of sergeant, was a member of Shady Grove Presbyterian Church, and retired from AT&T after 35 years of service.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the Shady Grove Presbyterian Church with interment at Pinelawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
