Curtis R. Oswalt, Sr. age 91 of 2035 Whitmire Hwy. and widower of Mary Frances Evans Oswalt, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008.
Mr. Oswalt was the son of the late John Clarence and Rosa Lynn Risinger Oswalt.
He was retired from Joanna Mills after 50 years of service and was a member of Breakthrough Tabernacle (formerly Webb Memorial of Joanna).
Mr. Oswalt is survived by a son, Curtis Oswalt, Jr. and wife Jessie of Joanna; two daughters, Mollie Cieluch and husband Roman of Clinton, and Shelby Mays of Joanna; a sister, Mutt Simmons of Clinton; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Gary Lee Campbell Sr.; three brothers, J.C., Colie, and Mack Oswalt; and three sisters, Lillie Bell Coolege, Jessie Mae King, and Mary Arrowood.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Breakthrough Tabernacle in Joanna with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of his daughter Mollie Cieluch at 3937 Milam Road, Clinton, SC 29325.
