Daniel Overstreet, age 61, of 512 Milton Road, died Monday, September 12, 2011 at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood.
He was born in Laurens County and was a son of the late Mullen and Maebell Gregory Overstreet.
He was an auto mechanic and a U. S. Marine Veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Darlene Motes Overstreet of the home, one son, Mullen Davis (Christine) Overstreet of Joanna; three daughters, Karen Denise (David) Cantrell of Anderson, Dora Wonder (Donald) Privette of Joanna and Virginia Gail Overstreet of the home, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and seventeen nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Rufus Edmonds of Joanna, and two sisters, Geri Bailey of Joanna and Elizabeth Elledge of Clinton.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Silas (Cooter) Overstreet and William Gregory and a sister, Mildred Willis.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Sept. 16th at 11:00 a.m. in Bible Faith Tabernacle with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for 6 to 8 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home on Thursday evening.
