Danny Lee Metts, age 57 died Monday, May 9, 2011.
He was born in Laurens County, was a faithful member and served as head usher at the Redemption Baptist Church. Danny loved to fish and bowl and enjoyed life.
Surviving are his mother, Doris H. Metts; a brother, Steve Metts of Laurens; three sisters, Janice Owens and husband, David of Laurens, Carol Ann White and husband, Donnie of Greenwood and Debra Jenkins of Laurens.
He was predeceased by his father, William Henry Metts.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 12th at 1:00 p.m. in the Redemption Baptist Church by Pastor Ralph Byars with burial in the Rosemont Cemetery in Clinton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home of Laurens.
Memorials may be made to the Redemption Baptist Church, 24314 Hwy 221 North, Enoree, SC 29335.
The family will be at the home of his sister, Janice Owens, 200 Crescent Dr., Laurens, SC.
