Darlene J. Tobias

Darlene J. Tobias, age 68, widow of James “Foots” Tobias of 306 Laurens Street passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the NHC in Clinton.
She was born in Greenwood County and was a daughter of the late Esther Dalton and Buddy Waters.
Mrs. Tobias is survived by her two sons, James E. Tobias Jr. (Margie) of Newberry and Wayne Tobias (Lorrie) of Whitmire; two daughters, Reba Tobias of Joanna and Cindy Dickerson (Fred) of Vance, SC; her three brothers, Jackie Waters (Shirley), Ray Dalton (Peggy), and Larry Dalton; her sister, Bonita Nelson (Sam); her ten grandchildren, Kayla Argo (Jamie), Marissa Kimberlin, Christina Bryant, Harley Dickerson, Louie Dickerson (Emily), Emilee Tobias, Levi Tobias, Christian Tobias, Jacob Tobias, and Matthew Tobias; and her seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and her parents she is predeceased by her daughter Rachel Tobias.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 29, 2019 at 3 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Whitmire. The family will receive friends before the service from 2 to 3 PM at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of her son, Wayne Tobias, 20060 Hwy 121, Whitmire, SC 29178.
