David Shelton Wallenzine

September 29, 1942 — September 14, 2014

David Shelton Wallenzine age 71, of 5321 Mountivlle Road, died Sunday, September 14, 2014 in the Medical University in Charleston.
He was born in Newberry and was a son of the late Wilbur S. and Margaret Strother Wallenzine.
Mr. Wallenzine was retired from Asten-Johnson and was a member of the Moose Lodge and was of the Methodist faith. He was also a member of the U.S. Army National Guard.
He is survived by his daughter, Misty Sprouse and son-in-law, Geno of Mountville; five sisters, Betty Hutto of Cayce, Peggy Jenkins of Joanna, Brenda Alewine of Cayce, Linda Wallenzine and Barbara Wallenzine , both of Laurens; four grandchildren, Devon Sprouse, Jessica Norris, April Mack and Caressa Norris; five great-grandchildren, Brayleigh, Savanna, Jayla, Landon and Jason; a special friend, Karen Wise; his loving dog, Princess and his cat, Kitty Kitty.
Mr. Wallenzine was predeceased by a daughter, Gina W. Walker; and two brothers, Richard Lee Wallenzine and William Allen Wallenzine.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 17th at 1:00 p.m. in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home of Clinton.
Memorials may be made to the Laurens County Humane Society.
