David Raymond Young

David Raymond Young, age 86, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the NHC of Clinton.
He was born in Laurens, SC and was a son of the late George I. Young and Lillie Whitmire Young. He was retired from the textiles industry after 30 plus years and a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Young is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nina Word Young; his children, Janay Bultemeier (David), Fran Werts (Ty), and Howard Turner (Missy); his grandchildren, Amber Watkins, Ashley Hughes (Brooks), Chris Bultemeier, Bradly Bultemeier, Andrew Turner (Mackenzie), Jerry Turner (Taylor) and Anna Turner; his adopted granddaughters, Julie Anderson and Crystal Rogers; his great-grandchildren, McKinley Werts, Jaxson Hughes, George Bailey Turner, Noah Turner; and his sister-in-law, Sandra Young.
He was the last surviving member of his family and was preceded in death by his brothers, James Young and Curtis Young, and his sister, Kate Eaton.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the RN’s and CNA’s at NHC of Clinton for all their loving care and support.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Holly Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Hines and Mr. Ty Werts officiating. Burial to follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at the from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice or to the Holly Grove Baptist Church, 92 Holly Grove Road, Laurens, SC 29360.
