Davied T. Samples

Davied T. Samples, age 65, of 97 Elledge Road, died Monday, August 22, 2011 in the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Clinton and was a son of the late Ralph and Annie Ruth Strange Samples.
He was a retired carpenter and textile worker.
Surviving are his son, David Michael Samples of Ware Shoals, three daughters, Terri Kimberline of Newberry and Janice Sherfield of Clinton and Trudy McAlister of Laurens, a son-in-law, Jerry Sherfield of Clinton, four sisters, Shirley Shockley, Sue Shelton, and Sylvia Shockley all of Clinton and Judy Penvose of Laurens, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Samples.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 25th at 2:00 p.m. in Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Janice Sherfield, 103 Copeland Street, Clinton, SC.
