Debra Childress Holmes

Debra Childress Holmes, age 64, of Laurens, wife of Danny Holmes, passed away, Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

She was born September 23, 1960 in Laurens, SC, and was the daughter of the late James Brooke and Jessie Mae Edmonds Childress. Debra was formerly employed with Inman Mills of Enoree and was a faithful member of the Gospel Tabernacle.

In addition to her husband, Debra is survived by her children, Daniel Childress of Hickory Tavern, Amy Burton (Jonathan) of Gray Court; her siblings, Randy Childress of Duncan, Wanda Mossley, Tammy Hughes, Jimmie Plemmons, and Linda Black, all of Union; and her grandchildren, Skyler Gates, Mackenzie Gates, Ethan Childress, and Rilee Childress.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Leon Bible and Pastor A.J. Bible officiating.

The family will greet visitors immediately following the service.
