Debra Baker Prather

Debra Baker Prather age 62 of 40 Herron Ave. passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Whitmire and was a daughter of the late James and Lavenia Bundrick Baker.
She was a former beautician and worked at Walmart’s Newberry Store for 20 years, she attended the St. Matthews Lutheran Church and was member of the Newberry Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, Shane Prather (Danielle) of Whitmire; two daughters, Tosha Clark (Brian) of Whitmire, Crystal Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; special friend, Harvey Kinard of Newberry; his three children, Susan Dove of Prosperity, Travis Kinard of Newberry, Brian Kinard of Prosperity and his six grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Ray Adair of Joanna, Jamie Lisa Knight of Whitmire; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Baker of Anderson, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Ms. Prather was predeceased by a brother, James Baker.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Dec. 26th at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Whitmire with burial in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday before the service from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
The family will be at the home, 40 Herron Ave., Whitmire, SC.
