Denver E. Layne, age 96, of 695 A.B. Jacks Road and widower of Dura H. Layne died Saturday, October 17, 2009 in the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Pike County, KY and was the son of the late Preston and Martha Carter Layne.
Mr. Layne was a retired Auto Dealership owner with A & L Motor Co. and Dickerson Motor Co. in Williamson, WV and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, George P. and Nancy Layne of Clinton and Fred E. and Geri Layne of Altamonte Springs, FL;
two granddaughters, Kathy Lawson and husband, Russell and Vera Kinsey and husband, Johnny all of Spartanburg; a grandson, George Denver Layne and wife, Christy of Greenwood and seven great-grandchildren, Calli and Mallori Lawson, Morgan and Elliott Layne, Anna-Layne, Bristow and Molly-Bennett Kinsey.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Pinelawn Memory Gardens with a visitation following the service at the home, 695 A. B. Jacks Road, Clinton.
The family will be at the home, 695 A.B. Jacks Road, Clinton.
