Dillard Dennis Neighbors Sr., 80, of 173 Shenandoah Drive, Laurens, died Thursday, April 3, at NHC in Laurens.
He was born Feb. 21, 1934, to the late Albert Lee and Dewie Park Neighbors. He graduated from Clinton High School and Presbyterian College. He was a retired insurance and real estate businessman and farmer. He also was an avid Clemson University supporter.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Rush Neighbors of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Karen Neighbors of Greenwood and Carroll and Pam Neighbors of Laurens; a sister and brother-in-law, Eugenia and Ert Jacks of Clinton; and eight grandchildren, Kevin Neighbors, Kory Gillespie and Jacob Neighbors, all of Laurens, Sam Neighbors, Anna Neighbors, Addison Neighbors and Adair Neighbors, all of Greenwood, and Rush Neighbors and his fiancé, Carmen Sisk, of Wilson, N.C.
He was predeceased by a son, Dennis Neighbors.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
