Don Wayne McCormick, Sr., age 70, of 3043 Watts Bridge Road, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at MUSC in Charleston, SC.
He was born in Bamberg, SC and was a son of the late George and Pauline Bunch McCormick.
Mr. McCormick was the owner/operator of Kash and Karry Super Saver in Greenville for 28 years, and in the Depot Diner in Cross Hill for 11 years. He was a member of the Cross Hill Masonic Lodge #159, a member of the First Baptist Church of Cross Hill, and the Hejaz Shrine Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Springfield McCormick; his two sons, Don McCormick, Jr and Robert Lowe (Joyce) all of Cross Hill; his three daughters, Donna Hobson of Simpsonville, Missy McCormick Albergotti of Fountain Inn, and Heather McCormick Rodgers of Fountain Inn; his brother, Danny McCormick of Bamberg; his sister, Belinda McCormick of Bamberg; his aunt, Rosa Lee Ricketts of Ware Shoals; his thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Tammy Lynn McCormick.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church of Cross Hill, the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service. Burial will take place at the First Baptist Church of Cross Hill Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Cross Hill Missions, 761 N Main Street, Cross Hill, SC 29332.
