Donald "Don" S. Dees, Sr.

Donald “Don” S. Dees, Sr., age 69, of 708 E. Main Street, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at his home.
He was born in Lydia Mill and was the son of the late Owen Charles and Janie Tucker Dees.
Mr. Dees was retired from Laurens Glass Plant. He was a Christian and the joy of his life was his family.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Sharon C. Dees of the home; his son, Donny S. Dees, Jr., (Charlene) of Laurens; his daughter, Shannon D. Phelps (Paul) of Easley; his brother, Owen Deland Dees (Regina) of Laurens; his sister, Sarah Edith Dees of Laurens; his grandchildren, Ethan Dees, Jonathon Phelps, Katelynn Phelps, Michael Yawn and Scott Yawn.
He was predeceased by his siblings, John Owen Dees, Iva Bragg, Susie Dees, James Walker Dees, Sr., and Clifton Dees.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 2 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service, from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home.
