Donald Alton Steele, age 74 of 1823 St. Matthew Church Road, Eastover, SC and formerly of Whitmire, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 in the Countrywood Nursing Center in Hopkins.
He was born in Whitmire and was a son of the late Harry and Mary Lillian Nix Steele.
He is the last and youngest member of his immediate family. Surviving are two sons, four daughters, seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by four sons and eight siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Oct. 3rd at 2:00 p.m. in the Friendship Baptist Church with burial in Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Church.
