Donaldson Vance (D.V.) Wright, Jr. age 83 of 422 Blalock Dr. died Tuesday, May 9th at the home of his daughter.
He was born in Greer and was a son of the late Donaldson Vance Wright Sr. and Ora Weeks Wright.
He was retired from Greenwood Mills and was a WW II Army Veteran and served in the South Pacific.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Louise Elliott Wright of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Smart of Joanna; a granddaughter, Karen Roberts; a step-grandson, Jeff Smart; great-granddaughters, Brooke Kirkland, Sidney Roberts and Taylor Roberts and a step-great-grandson, Lee Smart.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Rosemont Cemetery with military rites.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home.
Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is serving the family.
