Dateline- Clinton, S.C.; Donnie Etters, Sr., age 50, of 139 Pine St. died Friday, September 11, 2009. He was born in Laurens County and was the son of Charles Hickle Etters of Clinton and the late Pearline Gregg Richardson Etters and was the son-in-law of the late James Penland, Sr. and Barbara Penland of Knoxville, TN. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Penland Etters of the home; two sons, Donnie Etters, Jr. of Clinton and Ricky Johnson, Jr. of Columbia; four daughters, Lisa Thompson of Fountain Inn, Stacey Shepard of Clinton, Tonya Johnson of Clinton and Susan Kirby of Sumter; two brothers, Tommy Etters and Bobby Etters both of Clinton; a sister, Betty Sanders of Clinton; grandmother, Hazel Knight of Knoxville, TN; brother-in-law, Jimmy Penland and sister-in-law, Mary Floyd; Eleven Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
