Don W. Slack, age 59, of 2150 Horseshoe Falls Rd. died Wednesday, June 28, 2006 in the Self Regional Healthcare.
He was born in Greenwood and was the son of the late Charlie and Elizabeth Grogan and Charles John Slack.
Mr. Slack was a former employee of John Cheeseman Trucking Co. in Duncan, attended the Enoree Church of God, was a member of the V.F.W. and was a U.S. Marine Corp Vietnam veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ward Slack of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Denny Adair of Enoree; two granddaughters, Holly Quinn of Enoree and Kelsey Adair of Simpsonville; three brothers, Charles Slack of Ninety-Six, Frank Grogan of Greenville and Jimmy Grogan of Enoree; a sister, Linda Hitt of Boling Springs; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Enoree Church of God with interment in the Westview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
