Doris Dickerson Butler went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 31, 2017. Everyone who knew Doris knew her love for her family, her love for animals, and her love for the Lord.
Doris was born in Joanna, S.C. on April 23, 1938 and was a daughter of the late Clarence Dickerson, Sr. and the late Sudie Mae Gruber.
Doris touched many lives in her 79 years and her love and presence in our lives will be greatly missed but never forgotten. She retired from Asten-Johnson after many dedicated years, she was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and a volunteer with the Humane Society.
She was a loving devoted mother to her children, Rhonda Butler Carr and Paul David Butler (Sherry) and loving sister of Willie-Nell Jenkins (Bobby) of Joanna, also very dear to Ganny’s heart, her grandchildren Brandi Butler, Andrew Riddle and Blair Riddle, and great grandchild Samuel Riddle. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased and her brothers Clarence Dickerson, Jr. of Laurens and James Dickerson of Ocala, FL.
