Doris C. Harris

Doris C. Harris age 88, of 75 O’Dell St. and widow of James E. Harris passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Harris was a lifelong native of Whitmire and a retired employee of J. P. Stevens. She was a member and former Sunday school teacher of Heritage Wesleyan Church and a volunteer with Lighthouse Ministries.
Surviving are two sons, David Randall Harris and wife, Debbie, Bryan Edwin Harris all of Whitmire; a daughter-in-law, Anne Cleveland of Whitmire; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.
In addition to her husband Mrs. Harris was predeceased by her mother, Mary C. Tinsley, two daughters, Sherry Highfield and Phyllis Dianne Harris; two sons, James Richard Harris and Donald Wayne Harris, as well as a brother, Paul Edward Tinsley.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Mar. 5th at 11:00 A.M. at the Heritage Wesleyan Church by Rev. Mark Stevenson with burial at the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Heritage Wesleyan Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Heritage Wesleyan Church, 191 Broom St, Whitmire, SC 29178.
