Doris Howell Metts

 Doris Howell Metts, age 94, widow of William Metts, passed away, Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at her home. 

 She was born on January 28, 1930 in Whitmire, South Carolina and was the daughter of Charles Howell and Virginia Louise Millwood Howell. Doris was a member of Redemption Baptist Church. 

 She is survived by her children, Steve Williams, Carol Ann White, Janice M. Owens and Debra M. Jenkins; her siblings, Frank Howell, Mike Howell, Wayne Howell, Jerry Howell, Linda Nelms and Brenda Douglas; her seven grandchildren; her twelve great-grandchildren; her three great-great-grandchildren and her very special family friend, Sharon Fortney. 

 In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her son, Danny Lee Metts; her sister, Evelyn Culbertson and her brother, Bill Howell. 

 Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Redemption Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Byars officiating and music by Susan Taylor.. The family will greet friends in the Church Fellowship Building from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. 

Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.
