Doris Hughes Pennington, age 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 7, 2008 at the St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Laurens, she was the wife of the late William (Bill) Pennington.
She was retired from the Laurens Shirt Plant and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are her son, Bruce Pennington and his wife, Patsy; daughter, Nancy Quinn; sister, Elizabeth Snow; grandchildren, Dwayne Quinn, Joy Terry, Bobby Quinn, William Pennington and his wife, Jennifer, Matt Pennington, Todd Creswell, Jennifer Ortiz and her husband, Jesus, Dean Pennington, Heather Pennington, Shannon Stephens, and 11 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. The body will be taken home and the family will receive friends at 363 Fairground Road in Laurens.
