Dorothy "Pebby" Laura Bakley

Dorothy “Pebby” Laura Bakley, of Laurens, and widow of Charles “Randy” Payton, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Hospice of Laurens County.

She was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, and was a daughter of the late Alfred S. Bakley, Jr. and Ruth Ann Totten Bakley Rush. She loved being a mom and nana, was kind-hearted and cared greatly about her family, friends, and anyone she met.

Ms. Bakley was survived by her son, Jonathan Payton (Miranda); her grandchild, Ivy Payton; her brothers, Alfred W. Bakley (Patricia) and David S. Bakley (Lisa); and her sister, Betty Roper.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Laurens, with Rev. Roger Dale Phillips officiating.
