Dorothy Rowe Davis

Dorothy Rowe Davis, age 95, widow of Hugh Jefferson Davis, Jr. passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 at the National Health Care of Clinton.

She was born December 4, 1929 in Newberry, SC, and was the daughter of the late Rev. Fred William Rowe and Lela Mae Chasteen Rowe.

Dot is survived by her sons, Stanley Hugh Davis, Sr. (Mitzi) of Spartanburg and Charles Douglas Rowe (Debbie) of Fort Mill; her grandchildren, Stanley Hugh Davis, II (Amy) of Inman and Tracy Rowe of York; her great-grandchildren, Hailey Brewington, Landon Davis, Megan Williamson, Heather Peterson and Kala Morris; her ten great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband of 67 years, Dot is preceded in death by her brother, Fred William Rowe; her three sisters, Mary Pearson, Georgia Bishop, and Betty Jean Riddley.

Graveside Services will be held, Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Bryan Malone officiating. The family will greet visitors from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the cemetery.
