Dorothy "Dot" Wilson Medlin, age 88, of Clinton, SC, widow of Joseph Dupree Medlin, passed away, Monday, April 29, 2024, at the Langston House.
She was born January 23, 1936 in Carlisle, SC, and was a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Alpha Omega Cothran Wilson. Dot had several jobs over her lifetime, including, Asten-Johnson, BF Shaw, and Whitten Center. She was a member of the Ladies Golf Association and also found joy in gardening.
Mrs. Medlin was a faithful member of Davidson Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandi Ballew Jacks of Irmo; her sons, Brian Medlin (Brenda) of Greenwood, Mike Medlin (Brenda) of Ware Shoals, and Tim Medlin of Greenville; her granddaughter, Ashley Salter Kimmell of Irmo; her great-granddaughter, McKenzie Williams DeCarlo (Sean) of Washington; and her sister, Barbara Wilson Martin of Ponte Vedra, FL.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Michael E. Ballew; her granddaughter, Jody E. Jacks; her brothers, Paul Wilson, James Wilson, Johnny Wilson, Walt Wilson, Roy Wilson, Sammy Wilson, and Junior Wilson; and her sisters, Vera Wilson Blackwell, Margaret Wilson Setzer, Carolyn Wilson Cook, Gerry Wilson Johnson, and Beatrice Wilson Harris; and her special puppy, "Pepper."
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, May 3, 2024 at Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Kenny Moore officiating.
The family will greet friends prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM at the mausoleum chapel.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Tucker, Paul Wilson, Alex Eubanks, Tony Wilson, Billy Summer, and Todd Smith.
Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is assisting the Medlin family with services.
