Dorothy H. Paxton, age 70 of 584 Mt. Pleasant Est. Rd. and widow of Conway M. Paxton, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006 in the Hospice House of Greenwood.
She was born in Central and was a daughter of the late Walter and Mary Boggs Harris.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Sheffey H. Paxton of Laurens, one daughter, Sherry P. Simmons of Laurens, two brothers, Roger Harris of Laurens and Thomas Harris of Liberty, one sister, Margaret Wooten of Central and five grandchildren, Jason Paxton, Dani Paxton and Matthew Paxton and Shane Simmons and Shawn Simmons.
She was predeceased by a brother, Buster Harris and three sisters, Nellie Brown, Laura Whitmore and Janie Villano.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 14th at 11:00 a.m. in Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home.
