Dorothy Louise Sumeral Montjoy

Dorothy Montjoy, age 73 of 1772 Boyds Mill Pond Rd. went home to meet her Savior on Thursday, March 12, 2009 surrounded by her family and loved ones.
She was born in Laurens and was a daughter of the late Dolphus and Maude Hughes Sumeral.
Mrs. Montjoy was retired from textiles and was a member of the Henderson Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Edgar E. Montjoy of the home, her children, Bobby E. Montjoy of Laurens, David Montjoy of Clinton, Steve A. Montjoy of Candler, NC, Kenneth R. Montjoy of Laurens, Kathy M. Harvey of Laurens, Donnie E. Montjoy of Columbia, Ronnie Montjoy of Laurens, Lonnie Montjoy of Laurens, Susan M. Hughes of Laurens; seventeen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Clem, Martha Williams, Becky Sloan all of Laurens and a brother, Jerry Sumeral of Anderson.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Jesse Sumeral and Robert Sumeral and a sister, Alice Nelson.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Henderson Baptist Church with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home of Laurens.
