Dorothy M. Smoak

Dorothy M. Smoak age 79 formerly of 109 Arrowood Lane and widow of Dr. James “J.C.” Smoak, died Sunday, October 19, 2008 in the Lexington Medical Center.
She was born in Branchville, SC and was a daughter of the late Ernest and Ione Carabo Myers. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Laurens.
Mrs. Smoak is survived by a son, Timothy Myers Smoak and wife, Sally of Goose Creek; three daughters, Susan Donnan and husband, Alvin of Simpsonville, Kim Gue of Piedmont, and Cindy Carron and husband, Frank of Hopkins; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, James C. “Pete” Smoak, Jr.
A private service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 22nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Laurens followed by a private graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery with entombment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
