Eddie Julian Cox, Sr., age 69, of 291 Jimmy Hellams Drive died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at his home.
He was born in Elberton, GA and was the son of the late Paul Wilson and Jewel Dye Cox.
Mr. Cox was a retired commercial pilot, a Blue Seal Certified Flight Instructor and operated the Laurens County Airport for over ten years.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta Cox of the home; two sons, Eddie Julian Cox, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Laurens and Sandy Shawndell Cox and his wife, Michelle of Laurens; a daughter, Wanda Gail Wright and her husband, Richard of Gray Court; nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in the Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home in Laurens.
