Edith Lynn Ellis

Edith Lynn Ellis, age 51, passed away at her home, Thursday, March 14, 2024.
She was born January 2, 1973 in Cleveland County, NC and was a daughter of the late William Charles Ruff, Jr. and the late Donna Sue Skinner. She was employed as a Pharmacy Technician with Walmart in Laurens. In her spare time, Edith enjoyed fishing and crafting. She also loved spending time with those that she loved and going to church.
Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband, Don Ellis of the home; her children, Lacey Smith (Billy) of Mooresboro, NC, Kerith Martin of Greenville, SC; her granddaughter, Arlie Smith; her grand dog, Tripp Martin; her siblings Kim Spangler (Scott) of Shelby, NC, Angel Maxwell (Wayne) of Mooresboro, NC, Kenny Tallent (Joyce) of Mooresboro, NC, Linda Sprouse (Mike) of Forest City, NC, Marty Ruff (Paula) of Forest City, NC, and Sandi Thomas (Jimmy) of Cliffside, NC; her step-children, Kayla and Casey.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Brian Ruff, Kevin Tallent, Sherri Crawford, and Mike Ruff, and her stepson, Corey Ellis.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church in Laurens with Pastor William Cole officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
