Edith Gibbs Hardee

Edith Gibbs Hardee, 96, widow of W. Herman Hardee and formerly of Greenville NC died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 in the NHC of Laurens.
She was born in Richmond, VA and was the daughter of the late Henry Witt and Lena Pearl Morris Gibbs.
Mrs. Hardee was retired for Brody’s Department Store in Greenville, NC and was active in the Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton.
She is survived by a son, Robert Morris Hardee and his wife, Tammy of Abingdon, VA; a daughter, Joanna James of Clinton; grandchildren, Donna Davis and Julie James both of Clinton, Nathan Hardee of Mountain City, TN and Brian Hardee and Olivia Hardee both of Abingdon, VA; great grandchildren, Kelsey Davis, Justin Davis and Chloe Wilkinson and daughter, Karen Hardee of Mountain City, TN
She was predeceased by a brother, Victor Gibbs of Richmond, VA and two sisters, Florence Gibbs of Richmond, VA and Elizabeth Rhodes of Clinton and formerly of St. Petersburg, FL
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
Graveside services will be on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery in Greenville, NC.
