Edmond Ruben Blackwell, Sr.

Edmond Ruben Blackwell, Sr. age 64, of 1837 Poplar Springs Rd. died Thursday, April 29, 2010 in the Self Regional Medical Center. He was born in Clinton and was the son of the late Edmond Walter and Vera Wilson Blackwell. Mr. Blackwell was a former tool and die maker and a retired Baptist minister. Surviving is his wife, Patricia Ballard Blackwell of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, Edmond Ruben Blackwell, Jr. and wife, Debra of Ware Shoals, Stephen Walter Blackwell and wife, Michelle of Clinton, Michael Craig Blackwell and Bonnie Brown of Ware Shoals, and Johnathan David Blackwell and wife, April of Laurens; a sister, Rachael Blackwell Jennings of Clinton, 9 grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. He was predeceased by a sister, Linda Blackwell. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Second Baptist Church in Laurens with interment at Pinelawn Memory Gardens in Clinton.
