Edna Beacham Hipp

Edna Beacham Hipp age 99, widow of John William “Bill” Hipp, Jr., died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in the J.F. Hawkins Healthcare in Newberry, S.C.
She was the daughter of the late Daniel Lee and Mary Carter Beacham.
Mrs. Hipp was a graduate of Newberry College and a former school teacher. She assisted her husband in his business. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John W. Hipp, III and wife, Margaret of Newberry; a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy H. and Gary Woods of Hickory, N.C.; a sister, Hazel B. O’Cain of Sumter; five grandchildren, Claire Williamson of Foscoe, Jane W. (Bill) Coyne of Hickory, N.C., Ray Woods and wife, Dana of Hickory, N.C., Meg Hendrix and husband, Brock of Newberry, and Frances Caroline Hipp Osborne and husband, Robert of Oakland, CA; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Marvin Beacham of Savannah.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, May 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will assemble at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
