Edna C. Holmes

Edna C. Holmes, age 84, of the Lanford community and widow of Lawrence C. Holmes, Jr. died Saturday, October 11, 2008 in the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Lanford, SC and was the daughter of the late Clarence Bobo and Grace Pearson Cooper.
She is survived by a son, COL Barrett Holmes and wife, Beth and their children, Barton and Betsey, COL Holmes is currently serving with the U.S. Army in Japan and his family resides in Laurens; a daughter, Judy H. Lister of Greenville and her children, Jeff Lister and wife, Christy and their sons, Zach and Carter of Social Circle, GA and Laine L. Justis and husband, Glenn and their son, Joe of Summerville, S.C.; brothers and sisters, Tom Cooper, Irene C. Dover, Fred Cooper, Carolyn C. Satterfield, Martha Faye Cooper and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, C. B. Cooper, Jr. and Henry Cooper.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Lanford Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
