Edna K. Stribling, age 84, of 1813 Indian Mound Rd. died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at her home.
She was born in Laurens and was the daughter of the late Oscar S. and Nora Belle Freeman Stribling.
Miss Stribling taught 7th grade at the Garlington St. School and later the 2nd grade at the Laurens District 55 School.
She was a faithful member of the Waterloo United Methodist Church and is survived by a niece, Sandra Thomas of Fountain Inn and her son, Sheldon Hudson and his wife, Amanda and their four children, Curtis, Daniel, J.J. and Jeremy.
She was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Oscar Ray Stribling.
The family would like to give thanks to the special caregivers, Stella B. Moss, Richard Aiken, Mac, Betty, Maxine Valentine, Lynn Hellams and Sherry Meinert along with thousands of students she considered her children.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, August 14th at 3:00 p.m. in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
