Edna May Flowers Mitchell, age 73, of 481 Camp Grounds Road and widow of Chief Paul Edward Mitchell, Sr. died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 in the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in New Brighton, PA and was the daughter of the late Joseph Charles and Edna May Flaherty Flowers.
Mrs. Mitchell was an employee of Thornwell Home and School for Children in Clinton and was the treasurer of the Sandy Springs Fire Department. She was also a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
She is survived by three sons, Paul Edward Mitchell, Jr. of Greenville, John Jesse Mitchell and Joseph Charles Mitchell both of Knoxville, TN; a sister, Catherine Flowers of Laurens; two grandchildren, Jason Lee Mitchell and Autumn Nicole Mitchell both of Knoxville, TN.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted Saturday at 9:00 a.m. in the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial in the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
