Edward F. Griffin, age 77, of 125 Old Schoolhouse Rd. passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Hospice of Laurens County Hospice House.
He was born in Gainesville, GA and was a son of the late Ted and Fannie Barrett Griffin.
Mr. Griffin was a former textile employee and a retired employee of The Torrington Company. He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Gail Kuykendall Griffin of the home; one daughter, Melissa Cauble of Waterloo; two step-sons, James Robert Hill and Kenneth Edward Hill both of Gray Court; one step-daughter, Stephanie Boyce of Columbia; one sister, Bertie Bagwell of Commerce, GA; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Larry Griffin and two grandsons, Kenneth Gabriel Hill and Christopher E. Cauble.
A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, June 27th at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. J.D. Putman.
The family will receive friends Wednesday follow the memorial service in the church.
The family request that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the Eastside Baptist Church Youth, 355 Conway Ave., Laurens, SC 29360 or the Alzheimer’s Association South Carolina Chapter, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.
