Edward Lewis Hazel, age 67, of 490 Sparrow Road died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006 in Providence Hospital.
He was born in Laurens County and was a son of the late Genelle Bridges Hazel and Paul Hazel of Greenwood.
Mr. Hazel retired from American Security.
Surviving are a special friend, Betty Medlin of Cross Hill; four daughters, Gay Barfield and husband Joe of the home, Teresa and husband Dennis Austin of Clinton, Joyce Ann and husband Bryan Reynolds of Joanna, and Debra and husband Donnie Evans of Newberry; one brother, Arddie Hazel of Greenwood; two sisters, Jolene Mason of Joanna, and Joyce Pitts of Newberry; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, Dec. 12th at 3:00 p.m. in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
