Effie Rhodes Quarles

Dateline- Clinton, SC

Effie Rhodes Quarles, age 92, of 503 Ferguson St. and widow of Cecil Strom Quarles died Thursday, May 27, 2010 in the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Greenwood County and was the daughter of the late James Arthur and Loree Faulkner Rhodes.
Mrs. Quarles was retired from Whitten Center and was a charter member of Davidson St. Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce S. and Betty Quarles of Laurens and Rev. Dr. Bill and Codie Quarles of Waterloo; a daughter, JoNell Quarles of the home; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Davidson St. Baptist Church with interment in the Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
