Elaine Bennett Olmsted, 79, widow of Robert Walsh Olmsted passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018.
She was born in Clinton and was the daughter of the late James Fletcher Bennett and Juliaette Duckett Bennett. Elaine grew up at Thornwell in Clinton and retired as an office administrator while living in Thomaston, Maine, however her true life’s work was raising her family.
She enjoyed working in her flower garden, cooking, all while making you feel welcome and loved in her home.
Mrs. Olmsted is survived by her son, James Robert Mason Olmsted (Laurie) of Maine; her daughters, Lori Stephens (Lee) of VA, Suzanne Boas (Mark) of PA and Julie Lambert (Steve) of VA; two sisters, Jolene Nalley of Clinton and Emily Barton of Laurens, thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and one on the way, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a sister, Yvonne B. Ray and a brother, Dennis Bennett.
The family is planning a memorial at a later date.
