Eleanor Hudgens, age 71, of Country Lane, died Sunday, September 6, 2009 in the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Laurens County and was the daughter of the late John M. and Sarah Bryson Hudgens.
Ms. Hudgens was a graduate of Presbyterian College and was a math teacher at Clinton High School for over twenty years. She was a member of the Providence ARP Church and was a member of the D.A.R. of Clinton.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Pugh; a sister, Dorothy House of Clemson; beloved brothers-in-law George Copeland of Clinton and Harry House of Clemson; three grandchildren, Tiffany Neal, T.J. Pugh and Justin Pugh and two great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorcas Hudgens Copeland and Laura Hudgens Jenkins.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home of Clinton.
